Sokotranski vrabac ( Passer insularis ) je ptica vrapčarka endemska za otoke Sokotra, Samhah i Darsah u Indijskom oceanu, uz Afrički rog.[3][4] Taksonomija ove vrste i njezinih srodnika je složena, a neki stručnjaci, uključujući BirdLife International, prepoznaju ovu vrstu i vrlo sličnog sivokapog vrapca, kao i nekoliko iz kontinentalne Afrike, kao zasebne,[5][6] dok drugi sve ove vrste svrstava u skupinu s vjerojatno nepovezanim zelenortskim vrapcem (lat. Passer iagoensis).[7]
